Nearly 1,000 Lufthansa flights to be cancelled as pilots walk out on strike

Lufthansa has put an emergency timetable in place for tomorrow as pilots' union Vereinigung Cockpit prepares to call for its members to go on strike. The industrial action will start at 00:01 tomorrow morning and last for 24 hours. The strike is set to affect Lufthansa's long- and short-haul flights departing from Germany.
